This antique figural candlestick holder is crafted in gilt bronze (ormolu) and is attributed to French production of the 19th century. The piece features a finely detailed sculptural composition of three putti (cherubs), arranged in the round, standing on a circular base and collectively supporting a rope-molded candle cup above their raised arms. The rich gilded surface highlights the classical modeling of the figures, with carefully rendered facial expressions, flowing hair, and draped garments, reflecting the high decorative standards of the period. The overall style is strongly evocative of the French Louis XV Revival and Napoleon III eras, when ornate figural bronze objects were widely produced for luxurious interiors.
