About the Item

French 19th century (or earlier) forged iron carrier for a taper candle in the middle and three small cages to hold glasses for wine or cider. Extending from the rods at the top is a flat handle to safely lift this metal contraption and set it out on a table. The simplicity of the form is part of the intrigue (removed from its original context), the piece could be adapted to many new uses around the home.
