About the Item

A pair of late 19th century Italian cream and polychrome pricket candlesticks. A pricket on top of each piece holds a candle in place over a foliate gilt drip pan. The central fluted stem features different carved sections composed of flaring columns with gilt foliate decoration separated by red or black painted rings. Raised upon a domed-top circular fluted flaring base on padded bun feet, this pair of Italian pricket candlesticks circa 1870, with their elegant silhouette and original weathered cream finish nicely enhanced by the elaborate gilt carved decorations, could be a charming centerpiece that would bring timeless style to any home.
