Pair of 2 Victoria candlesticks after Pierre Philippe Thomire
Exceptionally finely engraved and sculpted bronze. Fully sculpted
figures (Victoria). Overhead and hand-held torch shaft with 12 fully horn-style curved light arms. This model is one of the exceptionally proportioned candelabras sculpted by Charles Percier. He was a French architect of the Empire period. One of those who fell under the Napoleonic form of classicism. A comparable model is in the Château de Fontainebleu in France.
