About the Item
This pair of silver candlesticks are hallmarked by an unknown maker, and believed to have originated from the Austro-Hungarian Empire and date to approximately 1850, and done in the period style. These candlesticks are composed of .800 silver, if we've read the hallmark correctly, with a quatrafoil shaped stem with an embossed floral decoration, which accents the larged chased flowers on the raised bases. The candlesticks are hallmarked on the sides of the bases, although are quite difficult to discern.
