About the Item

A wonderful and most charming pair of French 19th century Louis XVI st. Ormolu candlesticks. Each handsome candle holder is raised on a trio of lions supports on ball feet with their tails intertwined around a central pillar decorated with finely chased foliate motifs. At the top is a trio of finely detailed goat masks, right below a beaded rimmed candle cup.
