About the Item

Pair of Carved and Gilded Wooden Candlesticks 1800, two Italian candlestick holders of circular shape, with the base decorated with grooves and carved with plant motifs with acanthus leaves and beading. They rest on three feet with zoomorphic carving. The gilding is in fine gold; they are centerpiece altar decorations, carved and gilded in the round. Of Italian origin, from central Italy, they are in excellent condition and date from the 19th century. They lend themselves as fine gold bases to be transformed into elegant table lamps. Tall 35 cm x 13 cm diameter bases. These altar candlesticks are shipped from Italy.
