About the Item

Pair of “Lucciolo Oro” glazed stoneware candleholders by Tonino Negri, with natural wax candles. Pair of hand-formed glazed stoneware candleholders by Italian ceramic artist Tonino Negri, titled Lucciolo Oro. Each piece is shaped entirely by hand without the use of molds, embodying the artist’s philosophy that every form must be unique and unrepeatable. Negri describes his process as one in which “there are no molds; every ceramic is unique in its shape. Firing creates chromatic variations that cannot be repeated. For this reason, each work is truly one of a kind.” The golden glaze highlights the organic lines of the stoneware, creating shimmering nuances and subtle variations that emerge from the high-temperature firing. The result is a pair of candleholders that feel both sculptural and intimate, with a warm, luminous presence. Each Lucciolo Oro is accompanied by its own natural wax candle, designed to fit perfectly within the form and enhance the glow for which the series is named. A refined example of Tonino Negri’s contemporary Italian craftsmanship, poetic, tactile, and inherently unique. Italy, contemporary.
