About the Item
One of a kind and very Exquisite and refined pair of candelabras or cancelsticks in gilded bronze at the end of the 19th century in France. In each one, a delicate putto or cherub in patinated bronze with a dark finish, holding an ormolú basket with abundant fruit, the candle holder itself, from which two arms or lights emerge. This small winged child of excellent craftsmanship and quality stands on a white marble base with a circular profile, also with gilt bronze decorations and resting on four small legs of the same material. Ormolú is an alloy of bronze and gold gilded with mercury. After being cast, it is chiseled to achieve the small details that add realism to the piece. In the lower area the "Unis France" foundry seal appears, which is always a sign of quality. The condition is good, with some minor signs that do not interfere with the overall vision of the whole. They are a pair of refined and exquisite French candlesticks that will aesthetically enrich any space or piece of furniture. Highly sought after pieces by a demanding collector, a great opportunity.
