About the Item
Pair of sterling silver, Jacobean-Style, barley twist candlesticks, Birmingham, England, year-hallmarked for 1926, Sanders and MacKenzie - makers.Each candlestick measures 5 inches high x 2 1/2 inches diameter across base (widest point) x 1 1/2 inches diameter across candle cup. Underside of base each candlestick is dark wood. The column of each candlestick gracefully twists in design until reaching the candle cup. The pair is weighted. There are some very minor dints (see photos) on each candlestick that are commensurate with age and use. Dark areas on sterling silver in photos are reflections. In good antique condition.
