About the Item

Pair of tall, sterling silver, Neoclassical candlesticks, produced by the Whiting Mfg. Co. (when it temporarily merged with the Gorham Mfg. Co. in the 1920's), Providence, Rhode Island, year-hallmarked with the Gorham year-mark for 1925 and bearing both the Whiting and Gorham company marks. Each candlestick measures 10 inches high x 3 3/4 inches diameter across base. Pair is weighted. Pair is monogrammed with an interlocking vertical script monogram (which looks like a design) that appears to be CJW. There are some very minor dints (see photos) that are commensurate with age and use. Dark areas on sterling silver in photos are reflections. In very good antique condition.
