About the Item

Set of 3 Swedish Modernist candle holders. A stem in polished brass, fixed on a base of clear glass with an irregular surface pattern. Glas shades in different shades of purple which englobe the candle. To be used with tea-lights. Design by Gunnar Ander. Produced by Ystad-Metall, located in the town of Ystad in Sweden in the 1950-60s. All are signed signed with the Ystad Metall logotype and the stylized initials of Gunnar Ander. Gunnar Ander is a Swedish artist born in 1908. He created many objects in metal and glass which are represented in museums in Sweden. He collaborated with Ystad Metall until his death in 1976. Nice state, light patina to the brass.

Condition:
Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses. One glass shade has a chip at the base, not visible when in place. Another has a very very small chip at the top. Two of the glass bases have a crack, very very hard to see. This has no influence on functionality.
