Stylish cabin decor antler candle holder with deer carving, Germany ca. 1900 A fashionable rustic candle holder, made of antlers from the deer. The spout is made of turned antler pieces and features an elaborate deer carving. Base decorated with antler veneer. Executed in Germany ca. 1900. This Black Forest style candle stick is a great rustic addition to any room or desk. Very good condition, please contact us for a detailed condition report. Antler furniture have been one of the popular novelties of the great exhibition of the industries of all nations in London in 1851. A new lifestlye trend was born and the ambitious European middle-class generated a fabulous upswing. One of the first designers to be mentioned is the German carver and furniture manufacturer H. F. C. Rampendahl who gained enthusiastic successes on several world exhibitions with his antler furniture. In the aftermath one began to manufacture antler furniture in series. A black forest oversized carved oak coat and hat rack from the 19th century depicting stags with antlers and umbrella stand. Created during the 19th century, this stunning black forest rack captures our attention with its oversized proportions and skillful carvings. Our eyes are immediately drawn to the two stags facing away from one another and topped with very large antlers. Showcasing great finessed in their execution particularly visible on the details of their coat, they exude a majestic expression. They are alert, their ears raised up.
