About the Item

This impressive pair of carved and gilt wood figural candlesticks makes a dramatic statement in a room . The fully carved figures in a left and right pose are well shaped and present well detailed faces and hands with wind swept clothes. Raised up on architectural plinths the bases are further decorated with carved flower swags. Gilded in a rich old world color of gold with a deep red boulle under the gilding they show great style and presence.
