About the Item

Pair of outstanding 18th century brass over wood (repousse) pricket candleholders. Wood is hand-carved and painted, with the fronts covered (repoussed) in brass. Candles are placed on an iron spear on the top of each holder. (Candleholders with candle spears are known as "prickets").
