About the Item

Victorian brass cased carriage clock with champleve decoration to the front, sides, rear of the case and carrying handle with bevelled glasses throughout. Gilded dial mask with enamel chapter ring, champleve decorated centre and Arabic numerals, original ‘blued’ steel hands. Subsidiary dial for alarm also decorated with champleve detail. The dial signed Jose Barrera, Barcelona. Eight day French movement with platform escapement and alarm function.
