An 18th century English longcase clock with chinoiserie decoration on a black lacquer ground, featuring gilt figures, pagodas, and landscape motifs throughout the case. The arched hood with finials and pierced fretwork encloses a silvered dial with Roman numerals. Retains its original weights and pendulum. The lacquer surface shows desirable age and wear consistent with its period.
