About the Item

Antique Swedish mora clock from C. 1844 in rare faux wood grain Kurbitz folk art finish finish and a superb rare detailed metal face roman numeral face in generally good condition for its age . Measures: approx 200 cm. It has the Classic extended belly of a traditional Swedish mora clock with a very narrow waist with swags and scrolls and detailed pedestal carving. The clock body has the usual wood movement and distressing found in clocks of this age. the clock is sold 'as is' : as a decorative piece only with the original mechanism and pendulum but not guaranteed to be in working order - If you want it working we can fit a professional hi torque battery mechanism for time keeping ( +£295) or you can have a great sounding chiming mech which replays the recorded chime through a small speaker with a volume control and 8 hour night off switch (+£395) These don’t come about often so here is your chance to get a really special mora clock. US shipping likely to be around £995/$1350 or thereabouts

    Repaired: probably some small repair during its life. Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses. Minor structural damages. Minor fading. The clock has some paint distressing and it is structurally sound with the usual wood movement for a piece of its age. It has some marking to the face enamel and may exhibit some paint lifting in places. It will be lightly restored.
