About the Item

Swedish country Mora clock from early 1800s in white paint finish and blue detail with a Classic shape body and a good face with lots of detail and nicely detailed hood in good condition. Measures: 204cm. It has the Classic extended belly of a traditional Swedish mora clock with a stunning finish and detailed pedestal carving. The clock body has the usual wood movement and distressing found in clocks of this age. the clock is sold 'as is' : as a decorative piece only with the original mechanism and pendulum but not guaranteed to be in working order - If you want it working we can fit a professional hi torque battery mechanism for time keeping ( +£295) or you can have a great sounding chiming mech which replays the recorded chime through a small speaker with a volume control and 8 hour night off switch (+£395) please note - wood is a live substance and may change shape when it moves to a new environment with a different median temperature and humidity after shipping. This may cause splits to occur in panels after the clock has grown accustomed to its new home 18-21 day prep time prior to shipping

    Repaired: possibly some small repairs during its life. Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses. Minor structural damages. Minor fading. The clock has some distressing and it is structurally sound with the usual wood movement for a piece of its age. It has some slight cracking /lifting in the face enamel and may exhibit some paint lifting in places.
