About the Item

Very decorative early 1800s antique Swedish mora clock with elaborate handpainted detail on the hood and body in a white paint finish with floral wreaths and flowers Measures: 218cm. This original 1800s mora clock has a nice face and a clean patina The clock body is distressed as befits its age and has the usual wood movement found in clocks of this age. The clock is sold 'as is' : as a decorative piece only with the original mechanism and pendulum but not guaranteed to be in working order - If you want it working we can fit a professional hi torque battery mechanism for time keeping ( +£295) or you can have a great sounding chiming mech which replays the recorded chime through a small speaker with a volume control and 8 hour night off switch (+£395) The mech change takes approximate 2-3 weeks. please note - wood is a live substance and may change shape when it moves to a new environment with a different median temperature and humidity after shipping. This may cause splits to occur in panels after the clock has grown accustomed to its new home Paint work may have been touched up over time or small repairs made There will be an 18-21 day preparation period for these items prior to shipping collection.
