About the Item

Early 1800s Mora clock with stunning hand painted trompe l'oeil flower wreathes and patterns with sumptuous carved detail on the hood and plinth. This mora clock is a unique find, great shape and wonderful detail. Incredible to look at. It has a beautiful face with a clean patina and roman numerals and fine decorated patterns on the side of body. The clock body is distressed as befits its age and has the usual wood movement found in clocks of this age with a single split down the front. This can be repaired if you wish at no extra cost. We can fill and touch in teh central split in the lower body if you do not want to keep it entirely original. the clock is sold 'as is' : as a decorative piece only with the original mechanism and pendulum but not guaranteed to be in working order - If you want it working we can fit a professional hi torque battery mechanism for time keeping ( +£205) or you can have a great sounding chiming mech which replays the recorded chime through a small speaker with a volume control and 8 hour night off switch (+£395) Please note that the bentwood in mora clocks can move/split when subjected to a change in temperature, humidity and location post shipping- this is normal   18-21 days prep time prior to shipping

Clock face may exhibit some marks/cracks/enamel.
