About the Item

Very tall decorative, 1800s antique Swedish Mora clock with unusual body shape and crown stunning hand painted gold detailing to the body and plinth. This original 1800s Mora clock has a beautiful face with a clean patina and roman numerals, and subtle embellishments on the body and a carved crown. The clock body is distressed as befits its age and has the usual wood movement found in clocks of this age. the clock is sold 'as is' : as a decorative piece only with the original mechanism and pendulum but not guaranteed to be in working order - If you want it working we can fit a professional hi torque battery mechanism for time keeping ( +£295) or you can have a great sounding chiming mech which replays the recorded chime through a small speaker with a volume control and 8 hour night off switch (+£395)    please note - wood is a live substance and may change shape when it moves to a new environment with a different median temperature and humidity after shipping. This may cause splits to occur in panels after the clock has grown accustomed to its new home 18-21 days prep time prior to shipping

    Repaired: probably some minor repairs during its life. Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses. Minor structural damages. Minor fading. It features the usual paint distressing and wood movement of a clock of its age and is structurally sound. It may have some slight cracking /lifting in the face enamel and may exhibit some paint lifting in places.
