Unique design clock for the collectors of timeless antiques. Finding this unique Arts Crafts Dutch desk / table clock truly felt like a blessing. The overall design is remarkable, but the combination of the craftsmanship of the hammered brass and the artistic elements is what takes this clock to the next level. The shiny and solid brass combined with the clean beveled glass panels and the riveted connections on all sides are just some of the other details that make you want to stop and look and enjoy the craftsmanship that created this one of a kind clock. This work of beauty was made around 1900-1910 and it comes with the original and perfect working, eight days clock mechanism. This mechanism runs smoothly with a very low-noise tic-toc and it strikes a fine bel sound on the whole and once on the half hours. The key for winding both the clock and striking mechanism also is included. * This exceptional clock is fitted with an original French movement signed Henry Julian, Paris, numbered 2521. The beautifully engineered mechanism reflects the high standards of Parisian clockmaking from the early 20ᵗʰ century. Henry Julian is known for producing refined eight-day movements with elegant strike work, and this particular example is a perfect match for the artistic brass and copper case in which it is housed.
