About the Item

We offer for sale a vintage wall clock that has a magical aura, made in East Germany, as attested by the GDR sign printed on the mechanism, proposes and combines the theme of the horoscope in relation to the time as is usually done to calculate the natal chart. Whether you believe in astrology or not, at least once in your life you will have been tempted to peek at the last page of your favorite newspaper in search of good news; relieved at the idea that your future and that the most intolerable parts of your character do not depend directly on you but have been decided by the stars. Dating between the 50s and 60s for design and materials used, this mechanical otology is still incredibly cool with its Gold / Black contrast created by the black painted aluminum base and those aerodynamic brass elements that "interrupt" the monotony of the circular frame. Do we want to talk about the topicality of silkscreened graphics? The numbers, but above all the signs of the horoscope; made in essential golden monoblocks that in a few lines allow us to intuitively understand which zodiac sign it is. This clock from the mid-20th century works, has been carefully preserved and presents, despite its seventy years, very minimal signs of use and time. Reach out for any additional questions
