This fine quality antique clock comes with a marvelous, winged, Gothic Griffin sculpture atop the cathedral-like roof and that is what immediately caught our attention. On the one hand, because it is what makes this Gothic antique stand out from the average and on the other, because Griffins particularly make any antique more desirable, because of their symbolic meaning. Griffins were commonly featured in medieval heraldry and mythology, representing the duality of power and intelligence.
