19th Century Rosewood Writing Slope Decorated With Beautiful Woodland Floral Scenes Inlay Throughout. The slope features a well executed fitted interior sadly no hidden compartment or key. Interior when folded out, is finished with a green velvet slope with a gold trim. Item is sold with a new quill pen set, large vertical Glass Silver inkwell And The Original "shannon ruler". main pic at bottom of paper. The Shannon Ruler is a historical rolling parallel ruler, patented in the late 19th century, designed for drawing parallel lines and plotting nautical charts during the quill pen era. It features a central roller bar that allows ink to flow along the entire length of the ruler while maintaining a parallel distance from an edge, making it an ideal tool for navigation and technical drawing Would make an ideal gift for any writing enthusiast.
