About the Item

Very stylish patinated bronze desk inkwell modelled as a bust of a Chinese or Japanese figure wearing a straw hat, together with a pair French ormolu Inkwells. Both items are late 19th century. The male bronze figure wearing ring earrings and a straw hat with a hinged lid to form the inkwell. The pair Ormolu items of circular form with flame finials. Condition: Good condition except the pair are lacking their ink pots, the other glass ink pot in the bronze figure is chipped at rim. Measures: Height of bronze bust: (entire) 3.75” (9.5cm).
