The inkstand is composed of a shaped tray supported by 4 rocailles feet, modeled along the entire profile by finely embossed and chiselled volutes, leaves and shells.
Above the tray are two ink holders and two pen holders with spiral workmanship and highly embossed vegetable decorations.
A bell in the center of the object rests on a FASTIGIO pierced with flowering vines.

Opens to reveal a green leather writing slope with gorgeous gold banding.
It comes with the original 2 brass topped glass inkwells and pen holder (complete with old nib pen) and drawers for stationary.
Nice condition, but needs a new green leather insert. We have not replaced it because of the quality of the gold banding!
Brass recessed carry handles.
This is a really nice example of this type of box. Super Quality!
