Very rare English travel writing desk/secretary chest around 1860 Solid mahogany lidded box that can be converted into a travel writing desk/travel secretary with a green leather top and gold embossing. Storage compartments for writing utensils above. Writing desk can be opened up for additional storage space for papers. Lockable. Box outside with elaborate brass inlays. Overall a very rare and very high quality exhibit. Worth collecting and very practical to use. England, Victorian around 1860-1880 Dimensions in open position: height 8.5 cm width 40.5 cm depth 48 cm
