About the Item
This orange vinyl record stand was produced by Gustavsberg in Sweden during the second half of the 20th century. Executed in molded plastic, the piece reflects the functional yet graphic design language associated with Scandinavian industrial production of the period.
Designed to hold and display vinyl records, the sculptural L-shaped form allows records to be stored upright while remaining easily accessible. The stepped interior structure provides stability while adding a strong visual rhythm, giving the object a distinctly architectural presence.
The bold orange colour is characteristic of late modernist design and works well as a graphic accent within shelving systems, record collections, or contemporary interiors. The surface shows a consistent finish typical of period plastics. The stand is in good vintage condition, with minor signs of age and use.
