About the Item

An Encrier set with richly-veined Verde Antico marble base mounted with pair gilt-bronze inkwells flanked on either side of a Napolean bust. The marble base with pen tray rest on shaped circular feet. The Encrier set dates in the 19th Century and is French in origin. William Word Fine Antiques: Atlanta's source since 1956.
