About the Item

Late 19th century Victorian brass inkwell with winged griffons and a integrated pen tray. This is an impressive large 19th century Victorian brass inkwell accompanied on each side by winged griffons or dragons with serpentine tails. The inkwell is equipped with claw feet and a hinged lid. A pen tray with embossed scrolling patterns is added to the front of the inkwell. The ensemble is in great condition with a beautiful patina but the Inkwell lid is bent but not very noticable when closed.
