About the Item

A handsome Victorian novelty inkwell, cast in bronze in the form of a King Charles Spaniel, beautifully executed with two lovely glass eyes. The underside is inscribed with a roman numeral IV. The hinged head lifts to reveal a removable glass ink chamber. Victorian in era, dating to c.1880 it measures 5" x 3" x 2 3/4" tall. Item: 40940.
