About the Item

This antique desk set has no maker's signature, but is presumed to have originated from England and date to approximately 1890 and done in the period Victorian style. The set is composed of two thick square glass, bottles with jockey hat brass tops, an onyx seal, and a horse shoe pen rest on the back of the onyx base. The heavy glass bottles and the stamp seal are secured to the base with brass collars. The seal has a brass presentation plaque which shows some wear to the lettering, but was clearly given as a gift for a wedding occasion in 1892.
