An exquisite French 19th century Empire st. oval ormolu inkwell. The inkwell is raised by pawed feet below a lattice design with rosettes in the center. Above are two ink dispensers with lids in the shape of flower and fruit baskets. At the center is an elongated urn for incense or potpourri. In the front are two feather holders. With a compartment below.
