About the Item

19th century inkstand with three jars crafted of patinated bronze, serving as inkwells. They are decorated with acanthus leaf and small flowers. The ormolu removable lids are topped by a pine finial serving as a plug. Each antique inkwell is set on a gilt bronze foot, finely chiselled with foliage and flutes. The yellow Siena marble base is resting on four claw feet, circa 1840 Dimension: W 8.7 in, D 6,1 in, H 6.1 in. Dimension: L 22 cm, P 15.5 cm, H 15.5 cm.
