Gilt bronze inkwell and crystal flasks, made in the 20th century. One of the flasks has a chip in the screwing part of the cap, as shown in the pictures. Ø cm 32 Ø cm 17 h cm 9 An antique triple inkwell is a writing object that dates back to a time when ink was stored in separate containers. Its uniqueness lies in the fact that it has three separate ink compartments, often used for inks of different colors or for different types of ink. Antique triple inkwells can be made of a variety of materials, including bronze, silver, ceramic, glass, wood, or stone. They often have elaborate decorations, such as inlays, carvings or enamels. The form varies according to historical period and style. They can be rectangular, oval or circular in shape, with three compartments arranged in a line or triangle. Some models feature a holder for pens or other writing accessories. Antique triple inkwells date mainly from the 18th and 19th centuries, when handwriting was the norm. Each historical period has its own distinctive style, with influences ranging from Baroque to Neoclassical.
