About the Item
A superbly carved figural Black Forest inkwell in the form of a Dog's head, with great detail and retaining two large glass eyes.
The hinged lid opens to reveal an inner ink chamber opened with the little lever to the side, with a glass liner.
Dating to the late Victorian era, c.1890, it remains in excellent condition. 5" x 4 1/2" x 5 1/4" tall.
