Black Forest carved inkwell and pen rest with a bear, late 19th century.
This antique, dark brown, linden wood inkwell is masterfully carved and features a detailed figure of a bear with glass eyes. The bear holds a hollow tree trunk that can be used as a pen rest. The bear's head can be opened for storage or as an inkwell.
Dimensions: height: 10 cm / 3.9 in; width: 18.5 cm / 7.28 in; depth: 13 cm / 5.12 in.
In good condition with slight signs of aging and use.
