About the Item

Liberty Co. Regent Street. London. An English Arts Crafts Pewter Inkwell with violet-colored enamel decoration to the top, and to each of the circles at the four corners. Stamped 9. TUDRIC. 0141. Made in England. J. Liberty launched its Tudric pewter range in 1902. Initially, Liberty imported as well as commissioned items from other makers until they invested in the firm W H Haseler in Birmingham. Haseler manufactured all pewterware for Liberty until 1926.

    Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses. There is a tiny nibble to the violet enamel on the lefthand corner of the lid decoration. The four enameled circles are all in good condition.
