About the Item

A substantial and very fine quality late French Empire Verde marble and ormolu figural encrier or inkwell. Extremely well cast winged goddess of victory seated on a classical style klismos chair leaning over a burning altar. To the front and sides of the figure are two inkwells. The flame in the middle is a lid that lifts off to reveal the sander. Beautiful example,

French Empire pendule au bon sauvage mantel clock in ormolu and bronze. The clock is in extremely good condition. Entirely original gilding. A particularly fine convex white enamel dial with Roman numerals. The figure with original white enamel eyes, sits on the case of the clock, foot resting on a barrel, and pipe in hand.
