Victorian Period, sterling silver-mounted, controlled bubbles crystal inkwell with hinged lid, Ca. 1895, Boston, Goodnow and Jenks, - makers, The inkwell measures approximately 3 inches high (at highest point) x approximately 4 inches diameter (at widest point). It weighs 2.808 pounds. The crystal of the inkwell is designed in a controlled bubble pattern, having a central, larger bubble blown into the crystal for ink. Please note - the dark line under the sterling silver mount is a reflection as are the other dark areas in the photos. In very good antique condition. This is a beautiful, usable as well as decorative piece!
