Victorian Period, sterling silver and turquoise blue guilloche enamel letter opener/paper knife, Sheffield, England, year-hallmarked for 1866, R. Martin and E. Hall (doing business as Martin and Hall) - makers. Measures approximately 9 inches long/wide (at longest/widest point) x approximately 1 inch deep (at deepest point) x approximately 1/2 inch high (when lying flat). Sterling silver blade blade is beautifully etched (on both sides) in design. Dark areas on sterling silver in photos are reflections. In very good antique condition.
