Beautiful 19th century letter rack from the French Napoleon III period. The letter rack is made of bronze with wooden panels. The wooden panels are decorated with red traditional lacquer and hand painted with oriental scenes. This letter rack is made in France, during the time of the Napoleon period, the Oriental style, also called Chinoisserie, was very fashionable at that time. This object is in good and original condition, the hand-painted decorations are also still nicely intact.
