About the Item
20th Century Novelty Smokers Compendium Plane J A Henckels Germany Circa 1930.
A wonderful smokers compendium in the form of an aeroplane by maker J.A Henckels. A beautiful showpiece for the cigar connoisseur or aviator collector.
The main body of the plane consists of a hinged compartment for cigars and there is a matching vesta match compartment with a ribbed cap which acts as the striker.
In front there is a removable disc shape holder enclosing ashtrays and the propeller acts as a cigar cutter.
On the underside there is a slide-off Gondola which has makers marks, J.A.Henckels and attached moving wheels.
Manufacture Date 1925-30.
This item is in good original condition with miner wear to nickel plating and the interior elements and compartments have all been cleaned and lightly re gilded where necessary.
