Beautiful vintage Murano hand blown red, blue and gold Italian art glass paperweights with bubble decoration. Documented to designer Alfredo Barbini. I have previously owned several with the "Weil Ceramics
Glass" labels. The red and blue paperweights are made with thousands of small pigment dots creating the overall color. The 3rd paperweight is just filled with a gold leaf layer. All three are profusely covered in gold leaf, and specially stands out in the blue paperweight, having an inner iridescent surface interacting with the gold. The red paperweight still retains an original "N. W407 Made In Italy" item number label, documented to Barbini. Would make a great display piece on any desk, vanity or coffee table. Showcase them as decorative items in any room. Late Mid-century era. They measure about 3" wide x 2 3/4" tall.

Alfredo Barbini
Alfredo Barbini (1912–2007), a glass artist born in 1912 on the islands of Murano in the lagoon of Venice, Italy, was one of Murano's leading figures of the 20th century. His parents were members of families, which had been prominent in the glassmaking industry on Murano for generations as glassblowers and beadmakers.
