An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Edwardian English glass and sterling silver match striker.
This exceptional antique sterling silver and glass match striker has a globular form.
The surface of the medium sized glass body of this Edwardian match striker is embellished with a serrated texture which composes a match striker.
The upper portion of this antique glass match striker retains the original, plain hallmarked sterling silver mount.
By virtue of its size and weight, this versatile match striker could be utilised as a paperweight.
Condition
This antique Edwardian match striker mount is a very good gauge of silver, excellent quality and in excellent condition in keeping with age. There are some minor surface blemishes to the silver mount in keeping with age. The glass body is in perfect condition with some minor surface wear in keeping with age and use. Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the mount are clear in keeping with age and location.
Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this example of Edwardian silverware.
