Beautiful vintage Murano hand blown Sommerso soft transparent champagne with a hint of purple Italian art glass fish on base sculpture. Documented to designer Dino Martens for Aureliano Toso, circa 1950s. Published in his book (see photo), model 6180, and a later model number 6913 is in the same shape. The fish has little blue murine eyes, with white Latticino ribbons on the fins and tail. It is balanced on a clear glass base. Would make a great display piece on any dresser, coffee table, or display cabinet. Mid-century era. Would make a great addition to any Nautical, Marine / Ocean theme room. Measures: 10 5/8" tall x 6 1/2" long x 3 1/2" wide. Last photo shows other colors currently available in the gallery.

This elegant iridescent gold Favrile art glass vase was made by Tiffany Studios operating under the direction of Louis Comfort Tiffany. Tiffany Favrile Glass was first offered to the public in 1893 and this hand-blown piece dates to the mid-to-late 1920s. The vase has a warm golden glow and was crafted with a wide domed pedestal base that gives way to a ribbed body. The body flares slightly as it rises and transitions dramatically to a wide shallow neck that terminates in a scalloped-edge rim. As seen in the accompanying photographs, the well-balanced piece is nicely proportioned and displays beautifully.
The vase stands 8.375" as measured to its tallest point and is 3.75" across the rim. The foot is 4" from edge to edge. The piece is free of chips and cracks and is presented in original condition with no restoration or repair. The underside bears a typical Tiffany Studios late production compound number signature reading L. C. Tiffany Inc. - Favrile and includes shape number 1548 followed by serial number 3164 N.
