This fine antique sterling silver photograph frame has a rounded, subtly waisted shaped form with an oval internal window. The plain body of this Edwardian frame is encompassed with a paralleling embossed border accented with scrolling leaf and floral motif ornamentation to the upper portion. The rim of the internal window is embellished with a further plain embossed border. This frame retains the original oak wood back and hinged strut, securing with a swivel catch. The convex surface of this Edwardian silver photo frame is plain and unembellished. The photograph frame is surmounted with an impressive wirework and ball style scrolling design to the upper portion. The lower portion of this impressive example of Edwardian silverware is supported by two scrolling feet reflecting the same wirework style to that of the upper portion. This impressive photo frame is fitted with a velvet covered back and hinged strut, secured with a swivel catch; the body and strut of the frame have been recovered in navy velvet replicating the appearance of the original covering.
