About the Item
A good large English Britannia Standard .999 pure silver photo or picture frame, by silversmith Paul Vernon Fitchie, London, 1993.
The frame having a crest to the top with a repousse gadrooned border and twin scrolled decoration to the base, the frame stands on an integral easel. The silver is hallmarked to the lower front, with Paul Vernon Fitchie's maker's mark and the panther's head for London T the date letter mark "T" for 1993. The frame also has the mark for Britannia standard almost pure silver, this a higher purity than sterling silver which is .925, Britannia standard is .999.
The frame is in excellent condition, interior frame size 8.5" x 10.5" and is ready to receive your favorite photograph.
